The primary function of the Business Development Department is to expand the offerings to our insured physicians to include insurance evaluation and advisory services. We now have the capabilities and personnel to provide physicians with a single, reliable, trusted and convenient source for property and casualty insurance, employee benefits and asset protection. In short, we want to be sure that every Oklahoma physician has access to a professional and knowledgeable source for all his or her insurance needs.

Many of our physicians currently have long established relationships with an insurance agent. We respect those relationships and have initiated this new program to enhance the facilities available to both those physicians, and physicians who deal directly with PLICO.

PLICO now provides, at no cost, a 360° Exposure Review in order to analyze risk exposures of physicians and their practices. We then suggest a comprehensive program to address any unsatisfied requirements. The response from our physicians to this program has been very favorable. Many have discovered large gaps in necessary coverages.

In addition to providing evaluation and advisory services, the Business Development Department acts as PLICO’s Customer Service Department. We will be calling on physicians to help determine their needs and continue to develop services and products responsive to those needs.
